Fill the area around the copper pipe with expanding foam or loft insulation, once you're happy the seals are good. Then you won't have to worry about heat loss :thumb:

nice one steve, nice tun whats heat loss like over 90 mins, think this will be next on my list ooo the temptation i thought it was just women who loved shiny things but us blokes are worse :eek:
 
Looking good, I really am going to have to try fly sparging.
I need to calibrate my stock pot boiler first so I know when I've collected the right volume.
