Tidying up wiring for kettle element

I'm going to make a boiler from a stock pot and two kettle elements. What's the best way of tidying up the wiring at the back of the elements and sealing it up in a way that looks tidy? I've seen loads of guides on how to install them but none of them seem to cover this part in much detail. Either that or they look quite dangerous.

Best way is to fit a deep junction box. Similar to this.

I did mine like this. I cut a hole in the box the same size as that in the pot and it's all held together by the element.

I used a slimline lock nut with a kettle shroud behind it to cover the actual connections. Wrote-up on JBK here:

That looks really good, any chance of a step by step guide?

Its a piece of thin stainless I cut then rolled and riveted together, with a hole for the light. Then the plug is the kettle plug from maplins on the original cable.
No special tools just a hack saw, drill and rivets. Took about an hour to make 2 and they look ace.
