never saw the one you shot 'til it went belly up, love a nice bit of rabbit.

Do it lincolnshire style; take the truck out into the field turn off the lights drink a few cans, turn on the spotties and unload everthing you have. repeat until you are out of tinnies.

Ha ha ha you missed the last one, i bet he had a right laugh with his mates  oh no you killed all his mates

nice!!!!!

i'll be doing that soon! i'm supposed to be taking my test at the range at the end of this month to become a full member with an FAC application to follow afterward, but finances have called for shooting to be put on hold :( and so will my FAC application

that sounds beefy for a .177! the .22 LR rifles i've used at the range are bloody loud even with ear defenders on when they've not got silencers... still doesn't compare to the sound (and kick!) of a .44 though but god knows what i'd need one of them for

That's ok the ones he looses i will get with my ferrets.

Nice one Bru :thumb:
Rabbit has to be, IMO, the most underated meat available.

Sure beats going to the supermarket and buying some dubious quality, mass produced, drug riddled piece of meat.

nice shot mate
im just getting into a bit of hunting myself, just started up ferreting although still trying to get permission so havnt been out yet and il be getting a air rifle in the next couple of weeks aswell as doing a bit of ratting with my dog
should keep me busy in between fishing trips

i've had to give it up temporarily for finance reasons :(

i was gunna take my test, but then there's the extra expenses on a license afterwards, the firearms itself, the cost of ammo at the range and in the field etc...

as much as i'd like to shoot my own dinner i'm gunna have to wait a bit longer

what rifle do you have at the moment?
id love to get a fac at some point but il most likely just stick to a .177 or .22 still so im looking to get a pcp rifle that can be adjusted to fac eventualy rather than buying a new gun
i used to have a .22 bsa meteor when i was younger that was good fun

I recently traded in the CZ.22 for the CZ.17HMR, it is a seriously flat round, also got Ruger .220 Swift and a few Shotguns, one good one and one for belting vermin.
The dogs go mental if I walk out with one coz they know whats ahead, if the dogs had a choice they would go shooting every day, you can almost see them smiling when coming back with a retrieve. One of the funniest things is when the two labs are out with me and they both get on to the same retrieve, both running back together, both holding a rabbit. All the dogs want to do is please. Mind you if I had a choice I'd go shooting every day aswell.

sounds good to me
bet you can get them at a fair old range with those too
my dog (lakelandxrussel)would be useless for that unless i want pulp returned hed just rag it until he got bored after a hour or 2, thats if he even went to get it
dont think hes much use for marking warrens either he shows no interest but if he smells a fox hel do his best to try dragging me in through a bush, just a shame its illegal now but he will enjoy ratting just as much
