Thermowell question

Hi all

Looking up thermowells to fit to my FV and my inkbird. Was just wondering about the length I would need. Does the well need to sit in the beer or is just having it inside the FV enough? Would prefer mounting it to the lid rather than drillng a hole in the side of the FV

The lid is fine but you need a long one that sits in the liquid. I’ve seen them somewhere...maybe brewbuilder.

Seen some on ebay and AliExpress running to 250 / 300mm long, need to measure my FV and have a look. Thanks for your help :thumba:

Will check those out, but think 300mm will do just the trick for my FV. thanks
