That's disgraceful but we only have ourselves meaning our generation to blame as these are the ones who push laws through parliament and the others who don't and won't chastise their children.
I know when I grew up if I was caught doing something wrong by a neighbour or family friend I would have got a crack from them and a hammering when I got home.
Children nowadays have no fear and even the law turn a blind eye as they don't want the hassle and fear of being reprimanded for doing their job.

The young team dont hide when having a drink and arent adverse to smashing bottles, leaving a mess and not giving a flying %&£$ about the impact on their community. I'd love to see kids raised and schooled with a sense of responsibility for their own environment like they are in Japan - the schools don't have cleaners, the kids have to clean the classrooms and corridors themselves every day before they go home. Drills into them that it's not worth making a mess as you only have to clean it up yourself.

I don't think we can generalise most people are decent and they teach their kids to be decent human beings. But there's a growing number of middle aged yobs who children are yobs because they know no better.

These types of pictures seem to be common all over the country the last couple of weeks and all include nitrous oxide canisters. Idiots.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree there. I have seen, first hand, similar behaviour in parts of France and Germany. Likewise, there are parts of England (and indeed, Scotland, France, Germany and so on) where such behaviour is rare.

I know we like to beat ourselves with a stick in this country sometimes, and dispair at the yobbishness of our youth, but it is by no means unique to Blighty.

The youth have always been youth and will push past the boundaries of what is socially acceptable. The issue is where the older generations have set those social boundaries. Bigoted, uncaring and no social compass, the "I'm alright Jack F you" Thatcher generation have a lot to answer for with the society they created.

When I was a kid it was considered a crime to drop litter and if we ever did it was for a dare, I know technically it still is a crime but in recent years when living in a town the kids walking to school would eat a packet of crisps or whatever and just drop the wrapper without even a thought, not even a microsecond of doubt.
Some years ago (probably the 90's) there was a programme on some radio show that asked 5 presenters to say what they thought the most prolific crime was. Some said murder, others theft but I remember Nick Kershaw saying litter, he was the only one who "Got it" and it almost certainly is the most prolific. His nomination was almost ripped apart with the public saying "Don't be ridiculous".
Personally I detest littering and the imbeciles who do it and if I could I would punch them in the face.
