Given that all of the foods that are mentioned in this thread are preceded by "vegan", "vegetarian" or other words to that effect, I'd suggest you'd have to be utterly ******** to find their description misleading.
I'm not ********,I'm not delibertely try to be obtuse,I don't care if you eat cows or lettuce,I'm not trying to upset anyone or anything.
In an environment of correctness some lines are getting blurred..
Anyway...it's beer o'clock.

Why is there no vegan fish like fingers or fillets. You could have vegan fish and chips with gluten free batter and all fried in vegan lard or dripping.
In China and Japan they’ve been creating dishes that resemble fish, chicken etc with tofu for years. it’s not a modern phenomenon by any means.

Which reminds me, crispy spicy tofu is on the menu this week. An absolute belter of a dish no matter what it’s made from.

This thread reminds me, where is our resident sandal wearing herbivore mod @MyQul? Haven't seen him about for a while.

Lines are only as blurred as you want them to be. If I see a box that says "Vegetarian sausage" in the Vegetarian section in a supermarket, I think it's safe to say I know that the product inside does not contain meat. If people are genuinely caught out by it, or feel duped in any way, then I'd suggest that they may need some help doing their shopping.

FWIW my post wasn't aimed squarely at you. It's a point you see made repeatedly and it's that flimsy that I can only surmise that it can only come from a place of wilful ignorance.

I'm daft but not stupid... questions don't automatically mean ignorance...I like facts.

Clint ignore him abuse is not acceptable on here, its vegan fundamentalism.

😂 No abuse. I just don't believe that people are being genuine when they claim to not understand why would a vegetarian eat something that looks and tastes like meat.

I'm not a vegan either fyi. I've spent the vast majority of my life eating meat and still do on occasion. I'm certainly not puritanical about the issue. I just find it quite sad that some people who choose to eat meat feel so offended/threatened by those who do not.

And they say that the youth of today are snowflakes...
