Came across this free OU course the other day & did it for a bit of fun. It ricochets from the very noddy to the ***** I need to read that again. I interesting and may be of use to the inexperienced or newcomers and even old hands may learn so something. It's not 8 days worth, not even 8 hours worth but over a cup of coffee in the morning to engage brain for the day.

It's a good starter. edX also do a beer brewing one that's free for limited times, but goes more into the science
