The magic that is Braumeister - anything else like them?

Like that. I did it a different way.
One brew saves me at about£60 - £70 against the purchase price. After about a dozen brews its paid for itself.
Its well past 12 brews.

Have you compared it with a Brewtools system? These are similar in that everything can be replaced, the whole system can be modified and setup as you want, and similar sort of price! I have had one for about 4 years and find it fantastic, never used or even really looked into the Braumeister system so cant comment on how they compare but may be worth looking into if you havent already.

Never had anything like this on my radar but now I’m down the google rabbit hole and getting deeper. It all just looks so much more complicated than the 1 BIAB brew I’ve already done a halogen hob.

I thought the same when stainless steel conical fermenters were discussed when my last plastic one failed I couldn't resist so bought one TBH it's the best bit of kit I have ever bought.

I have had a play on a brew tools. Tbh it struck me as a bit like a kit (but that configurable) but mainly I thought the controller was lacking.

Nice kit, just not for me.

When I had an itch to upgrade, I also reviewed the camurri brauer, but never touched one.

Brewzilla 3 and subvariants is a solid bit of kit.
Moddable but limited volume made me upgrade to a 70 litre.
I mostly make 23 litre batches in it.
But it's a breeze for high gravity batches at 20 litres.
Mine with retrofitted SmartPID and some pump and tubing changes is safe to start and leave until sparge stage.
Should be able to find brewzilla 3 or robobrew seconds hand as many fall into trap of upgrade to the brewzilla 4 which looks like it causes a lot of woes.

I have one for 3 years it is a quality piece of kit i have done well over 50 brews in it

Braumeister has a patent on the pumping from the bottom up, mashing is carried out during pump rests. The pump displaces all the grain so is in effect stirring the grain. I sold mine as I had 40 systems at the time but they are worth the money, or were they are expensive now and I do know they could be looking at getting parts sourced in China to reduce the cost.
What I would be looking at if buying today is the 40 litre Guten they come in two widths now one is the same width as the 70 litre, which allows for better draining. I did ask Sandy from Guten about the price but I haven't got a price back due to Chinese New Year.
$288 US for the 70 litre as a one off.
When I ordered one in 2017 I ordered it on the Friday and it was delivered Monday morning.
