It can draw 16A so the plug gets quite hot. but the wiring in most houses is 32A so I think it's OK. I did buy a SCR device to lower the effective voltage but you can opt to use less power easily. Do shop around as all these toys are very similar and someone like Angel Home Brew often has good deals if you pre-order.

Did you see the mods I did for sparging?

I did see the mods. Sounded great, love the idea of using the pump with a sparge water tank.

The Coobra looks very similar to the Bulldog Master brewer, just without the double wall. The Bulldog is around £60 more. Unsure whether it worth the extra money? What do you think?

If I were buying again I would buy from a UK retailer in case I needed support. But I still think I got a bargain by getting the sparge heater at the same time. Note that buying the CB5 package is more expensive than buying them as two items! I paid £534 for the CB5 plus sparge heater plus wort chiller.
