We have been contacted by a team member from the Gadget Show they are filming a home brew feature next week and are planning to show three all in one brewing machines they already have a Grainfather connect so they have asked if any of our members have a PecoBrew model C, iGulu or Beerdroid as I don't remember any members discussing these I thought it would be a good idea for members to list what they have and maybe give some details (how long you have owned it, how many brews etc) as he may decide to use an alternative if he cannot find any owners of the above systems , he says they could get members along to filming, meet the presenters and have a day of brewing they may also cover the costs of any inconvenience, they are filming on the 26th.

I will email him later this afternoon and send a link to the thread.

Yeah there after someone with this funny all in box type brew systems. I don’t think they’ve caught on like people thought they would. I’ve not seen anyone anywhere who has one.

I didn't understand why they chose such obscure systems to put up against the GF which is one of the most popular and best I suggested in the OP members could list their systems he didn't bother to get back to us.

The systems they are looking to review are fully automated aren't they, as in stock the ingredients in, push a button, wait a few weeks and then you have fresh beer. I guess the point is that you can use those systems to brew beer with absolutely no knowledge or experience. A GF is not exactly for everyone, no matter how good it is.

Good luck to them finding someone with an igulu. They haven't finished the prototype yet. I'd be ****** off if I was one of the backers that paid £500 when the expected delivery date was two years ago.

To be honest i didn't look into it maybe it would have been more interesting to introduce viewers to home brewing as a hobby rather than just a means of producing beer.

I think the gadget show are on a hiding to nowhere.
They're looking for gagdets that involve no user interaction. Pour ingredients in, press a button and 2 weeks later out pops lovely frothy lager.
Think bread maker...
