Ahh well thought I'd join in with a festive avatar.

Christmas marks an unpleasant anniversary so its always hard to build any real enthusiasm until I finish work. Mrs J works in a school so its been Christmas this and Christmas that since the start of November.

One thing I'm looking forward to is consuming most of AG#3 over the Xmas period and we are at home this year with the wife's family coming to us. That means I get to cook lunch so it will be just as I like it.

I shall be cooking a turkey breast and a pork loin together as which will mean the gravy is good and we get my 2 favourite meats plus crackling. This will be accompanied by Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, sprouts (which I and my kids love even if nobody else does), cheesy leeks, angles on horseback, peas, sweetcorn, swede & carrot mash, broccoli, cauliflower, sage & onion stuffing, sausage stuffing. Mrs J made the pudding a couple of months ago.

Having some friends over this weekend for a pre-xmas xmas dinner (to follow on from yesterday's work xmas dinner, ouch my liver)

One of my friends is a serious foody. He is in charge of trimmings. He sent a list of the things he was going to make, to which I replied "I only have one kitchen you know?"

Anyway, I'm going to put up a big A3 sign at work saying "Hah Bumhug"

Only just seen this...  it looks like it's in the USA,

I've just finished my christmas shopping, I have checked my list (twice) and its finally over! Ahhh...I can breath a sigh of relief that I don't need to do anything else now, except turn up (with booze) to my sisters...I really love the meeting up with family and friends at Christmas, just hate the run up with the stress of present buying and all that other crap! Was in town today and it was literally jammed with shoppers, barely made it out alive!

I'm designated driver this Xmas... no bad thing for the family do as my Ma seems to think that you have an alcohol problem if you open a second bottle of wine after dinner. She usually goes home about 8pm though which leaves the rest of the 'alcos' in my family to enjoy themselves. I'll be making tracks early though to get a pint of cider on the go with Doctor Who...

I'm also driving to my daughters, supplying beer for the evening, staying sober and driving home.
