someone at work today went to Tesco’s at about 11:30 and the queue was out the door and into the car park.

I find it odd that people would still be bothering to go to Tesco for something like a sandwich at lunchtime. Surely by now it’s occurred to people that your lunch break is the worst possible time to go there? With the queues that are developing.
It seems like even now some people are still living on effectively takeaway meals, when half the country is shutting down.
Would you not have something in cans or something just in case? Some kind of reserves?
I know for some people lunchtime is the only time they can go shopping, but for instance in the case of the guy at work he could easily go after work if he wanted to.

Death in our famillys is tragic and will stay with those that survive forever.
When its time to go we say oh well he/she had a good innings
But people dying early is horrific.
Its early days yet but i think a lot of people in GB are going to need a lot of help,We should be there for them .!!!!!

Yes John, I fear we are gonna hit some horrific numbers here.
I've been told of house parties and of a pub which stayed open until the beer ran out etc
So many people are quite simply selfish and/or ignorant as to what could happen.

Any change you like can be implimented if you do it slowly enough.

I read somewhere that going for "herd immunity" had all the hallmarks of a Dominic Cummins idea!

the clip where Boris very carefully doesn’t say ”I think we should do the herd immunity thing‘ but says ‘well, one idea that’s out there is that we should do the herd immunity thing’ was so clearly him testing the waters for that idea - waiting to see what the reaction was while being able to maintain that this was never something he wanted to do.

And yet in Australia they said on the radio earlier it was younger women getting it.
Probably because they traveled overseas and socialised more.

I reckon my hands have been bleached with the amount of washing I've done in the last two weeks.
Told the boss I wouldn't be surprised to come up positive on a random breath test with the amount
times I wash my hands with the alcohol cleanser we're provided.

Had to wave my ITU nurse wife off to work this morning for the first time since we got back from annual leave. She is very nervous and doesn't know what she is going to find when she gets there.

Gave her a good pep talk and reminded her that she needs to stay safe and follow PPE guidlines, as I know that if a patient is in trouble she would put them first. She's promised to stay safe.

It was an emotional experience.

All people will not stick to the Gov Guidelines until they know somebody local to them that has died. I live in West Yorkshire and although we have the virus we are 2 weeks behind London and some people in our areas are believing it is nothing but flu.
In the meantime although a lot of people are obeying as best they can I am still seeing the same people shopping everyday its unbelievable. and the roads seemed busier today than yesterday when coming home from work at 8.30am
It seems that the grim reaper will have to knock on their door before they realise its for real

I live next to a main road and it’s buzzing with people and cars, some folk think its just a free holiday.
Wait until two weeks down the line.

yes - I cannot leave home and cannot get a tesco delivery slot - many like me - supermarkets are probably the worst places for spreading the virus....
