Don't think there will be any point asking
I'm genuinely interested to know what you think should happen? Will the councils and services still be demanding rent and money when no one can work to earn because sick pay will not cover the bills.
What if it is and the delivery driver is sick and still working because he has no sick days?

if unable to pay raised dept charges later.
Yeah I suppose it's possible. Everything has to be paid for by someone though. This country is already massively in debt. Borrow more? All service charges, council tax, mortgages or rent etc should be frozen and paid for by the gov if unable to pay raised dept charges later. You can't get blood from a stone.

Welsh supermarket chain Iceland will be opening from 8am til 9am for Oap's only. Hopefully the bigger supermarkets follow suit
The Danish have a low level of debt and their citizens pay a high level of tax. You really think we can afford that here? What I am finding is I know whats going on all over the world, the only thing I know here is wash your hands and don't panic buy, the answer to Nige's post is what the Danish government are doing, paying 75% of salarys the firm pays 25% you must take a week of your annual leave and nobody gets sacked this will then be reviewed on the 1st of June,
Well I'm self employed and doubt work will be available, we pay rent and everything else so won't be able to pay everything. My thoughts are councils etc will either put alot in debt and attempt to claw things back later but low paid working families won't be able to pay things back. What does this mean?

I'm not sure that the financial hardship issue is just about sick pay. I've got friends who are in lines of business from waitering to flying a plane that are very concerned about their livelihoodsHow many members work but wouldn't get full sick pay for the two weeks self isolating.
