Thanks PD, I've fired it up and everything seems good just need to finish drilling the holes.

I've resolved the extraction issue by fitting my ebay hood:

and have run the ducting from there to a place where I can easily swing it out of the doors when brewing:

When the builders are back next I'll get them to fit a proper vent just before the door so I can shorting the amount of ducting that's being used.

All I need now is the new boiler and I'll be ready to brew!

Can I ask what type of fridge did you go for, I'm struggling to locate a fridge that's suitable for bring converted into one that will fit my fermenter. I have a brewpi system waiting to be fitted

I just picked the first fridge I could find at a reasonable price on Gumtree, the exact model is a Fridgidare RL6003B. Once all the shelves were out I could easily get a 27 litre fermenter in there with bubbler airlock on:

I can easily go bigger if I use a top hat airlock or the idea i saw on the Blichmann site of running a hose from the fermenter through the door so the airlock is on the outside and easily visible.

Haven't decided where I'm going to run the probe or heater power yet, for the moment i'm just trapping them in the seal of the door.

Oh Heaven!!, here is a picture of my brewery, (just the middle 2 feet) the rest is the drying room/garden shed. As I am 6ft 4" and 17 stone I have a bit of trouble moving about the brewery, but we all manage somehow don't we! I wonder if anyone has dug a cellar under a lodge?

At 6' 4" you have a hard time fitting in my cellar I think, too many things to bang your head on!

My shiny new boiler has arrived which means the collection is complete and I can finally brew again

I've upgraded the tap on the cygnet HLT to match the others, unfortunately it's not quite sealing (and I've currently got it fitted upside down), a change to the o-rings though and it should be perfect. At the moment the leak is minimal so should be usable for one or two brew without much escaping.

I've got a van load of hops and grains on order from The Malt Miller, I just need to bottle my Citra Cider to get my FVs free again.

after all the hard work....comes the pleasure... enjoy.
