Dunfie's King Robert IPA

From The Glen Brewery

Lots of carbonation I was warned, I used a jug

Smell was really good, it was very dry on the tongue. Also very smooth, with an aftertaste that left me wanting more (again). (The chill haze was my fault Tony, I like my Pale Ale cool). It did not affect the great taste.

Nice one Calum. Thanks

Listen guys, when this is all over, will you please still send me beer/wine. I'm having such a great time :drunk: Hic

That might not have been a wise thing to say Toni. With all the weired experimental brews that go on round this forum you could end up as chief taster for a whole range of weired and wonderful concoctions :D

So have you had all your bottles yet? Or are there still some non-payers

Right now I have two bottles from Tony & Mrs Tony, one of which I've drank tonight, (follow-up tommorrow). I've heard from James B & Uncle Pumple, who have said they will get to me, after that, nothing. :?

I'm a non-payer ( sorry!), though I've certainly not forgotten - I've nothing bottled yet to contribute.

I decided against doing another kit brew and that I'd just get on with AG brewing.

I'm hoping to get my brewery finished this weekend - I just need to test my boiler and drill holes in the hop stopper. First chance I get, I'll launch the brewery so I've got something to pay my debt with. :drink:

Mines coming just taking a long time to get in the bottle!!
I'm all up for the experimental tasting so you have a bottle of Shi**er bitter coming your way
as Well as some nicer ones ;)

Right, sorry for the delay. Going for the double whammy.

Stout is my favourite drink so I was looking forward to this, & was not disapointed.
Good hiss on opening, & a smell of coffee & liquorice. the taste was wonderfull ( I'm waxing lyrical).
It was a combination of, again coffee , liquorice, & chocolate. I was really sorry to get to the bottom of the glass. A tongue coating stout!! :thumb:

Thanks again Tony, &, of course, Mrs Tony

Many thanks indeed CW!
Drinking your own beer is an extremely satisfying endeavor... but someone else enjoying it is special!

Glad you liked it! You can probably see that I never label my bottles, and these were done 'last minute' as a kind of after-thought. Next time I promise to put more care an attention into them - especially making them the right size and shape!

I'm hoping to brew again tomorrow .... I'm like a kid at christmas! :D
