i started making this last sunday and the airlock didnt start bubbling untill wednesday night. the bubbles were very regular like 2 bubbles per second, untill last night. it slowed right down. now today im getting 1 bubble every 20 secs. is it normal for it to finnish as quick as that? i thought it would bubble away for at least 2 weeks. does this mean its ready to go into the secondary?

also what temperature does it have to be in the secondary and how long does it need to stay in there before i bottle it? how do i know when its ready for bottling?
 
bubbles on airlock have slowed right down now to 1 every 1.5 mins. its been fermenting now for a week and a half. should i transfer it to my secondary now or should i wait till the weekend? also what temperature does it need to be in the secondary vessel?
 
I've found some things do ferment out really quickly. However, three bubbles a minute could indicate there's still fermentation going on, it probably just has a wee bit to go. Do you have a hydrometer to take a reading? Thta's the best way of making sure fermentation has finished. Otherwise, I'd just leave it til the bubbling is less than one per minute, or even til it starts to clear and the sediment is settling down at the bottom - it's easier to rack that way. Once it's been racked it should clear well, and is ready for bottling when most of the sediment has dropped out.
 
im totally new to this. what do i have to look for on the hydrometer to see if the fetmatation has finnished?
 
If the hydrometer stays at the same reading over a couple of days it's pretty safe to assume that fermentation has finished (don't let the brewing pro's hear I told you that though!) :grin:
 
i drank 2 ltrs of this tonight and it felt like drinking 4 ltrs of strongbow. and its nice amd tasty. i would strongly recomend using this juice to make cider. i no call it it tropical jakey cider lol. i love it.
 
I went to my friends house last night and took 2x 2 Ltr bottles with me. I had a pint if it and he drank the rest. He was gaga lol. Really leathal stuff. I think that it must have been between 9% - 11%. Just going by the effect. I also had a hang over after drinking 2 Ltrs. So I was pretty successful with my 1st ever homebrew.
