Terminology

Hi all,
As you might well have noticed I am quite new to all this. I've noticed on the forum quite a bit that there's abbreviations and other jingo that don't make sense.
I'd say for myself and others noobs it would be useful for a list to be compiled to explain what they mean. From the most simple and obvious to the slightly more complex.
Would be much appreciated.

if your like me you have to send more time trying to find out that these blokes are saying bu translating it to english than you do reading what they have done,

its almost as bad as a teenager text speaking some days
