Never appreciated this , always knew obviously it had an impact. But ...

Wow.

My B Blonde .... reading tells me optimum temp is ~4c

An early sample earlier at 8 ... was yummy.

A sample just now at 4.... wow wow wow .

So ... my question .

With a variety of beers that we brew , how do we serve at their best ... multiple fridges ?’

I don't check the temp, but I always let my beer warm up for about 20-30 mins from the fridge. Big difference.

Got my at 7degC. With a stout and normally some sort of ipa/apa it seems to be a decent balance.

I hate cold beer and lager with a passion, so I generally drink my brews at whatever temperature they get to in the garage!

Although the garage AIR temperature can fluctuate between 1*C and 28*C, the bottles stored up against the east facing wall and the PB's stored on the floor never get too low in winter and in the summer seldom get above 16*C.

I wonder how we managed before they put refrigerators in every home? :?: :?:

I thought my Belgians were a bit rough then I realised I was drinking them too cold and they improved a lot as they warmed up. My cupboard is sitting mid teens currently which is fine for the bitter but not so good for helles. Tend to give things 10-20 mins in the freezer before serving.

I store all my beers in the fridge but only a pilsner/lager or cider would be drank straight away, everything else i would bring out and leave on the side to warm up as depending on what beer your drinking the recommended serving temp can be anything from 8 to 15 degrees. If your abit sad like me i have one of those hand held infrared thermometers which is handy
