Hi I have noticed my syphon tubes have patches of mould in places,
Would the forum buy new or has anyone got any tricks for cleaning inside???

It would probably be easier just to buy a new one but you could try sucking through hot water? and if that doesnt work.. try and feed a piece of string through it and then use the string as a cloth and try and get off the harder stuff. dunno if it'll work but it's worth a shot

For the price i'd just get a new one, not worth risking losing a batch to infection

I have tried dropping through a length of kite string or fishing line attached to a nail, and then pulling a piece of cloth through with that, but it really doesn't seem to be worth the effort when I use a 5 ft tube @ 10p/ft.

Wash / disinfect immediately after use, whirl dry and hang up.

I usually have a couple in service and a new spare in my bits box, then they get replaced as soon as they start to look tatty.
