Hi has anyone tried sugar cubes when bottling? Last batch i did was a right mess, funnels and sugar everywhere. If so how many per litre when bottling lager? Thanks matt

Hi Pennywise
I use Coopers Carbonation Drops for bottling as its very quick and easy, 1 drop in a 500ml bottle.
I hope that helps

Thanks. I might try those but i thought the sugar cubes would be cheaper and do the same job. I think i might batch prime seems alot easier. Thanks matt

Matt

The other method I have used is to transfer the fermented beer to a second fermentation bin add the recommended priming sugar for kegging which is normally about 85- 110 grams and stir in well.
Then just tranfer to your bottles as normal, it has always worked well for me.

I hope this helps
