Sugar cubes for carbonation

Hi All.

Does any one know how many sugar cubes you use to carbonate a 500ml bottle?

I've always used carbonation drops but sugar cubes are so much cheaper.

I have read this somewhere...

I would suggest that 1 cube is the same a teaspoon..

weigh 1 so you know the weight in grams , for a 23l brew you want around 80g/100g for ales 120g for a fizzy ale 150g for wheats and belgian ales beers etc and around 180g for a lager approx so just divide by 23 thats then per litre

I just use a spoon.
Pinch either side of the spoon as you tip it up and it only takes a couple of minutes to prep 40 bottles.
