Hi all,

I put my old Suffolk strong ale on 12 days ago.
My sg reading was 1050, yeast pitched at 24degrees .
But I took a hydrometer reading yesterday and the hydrometer reading was at 1015, which I am sure it should have been down a lot more for this ale. The reading was the same this morning when I took a fresh one.

Upon panicking slightly I have put in a teaspoon of yeast nutrient to see if that will help lower as I am sure I should have a lower gravity reading by now.

Any comments please, or should I just bottle at 1015.

My Festival Endeavour took 3 weeks to get to the kit fg...the last point took a week! I left it the extra week because even with no airlock activity I could see a few small bubbles rising and leaving it an extra week will do not harm..

Cheers

Thanks for the reply, with my gravity readings will this make it roughly 6%.
My original was 1050 and it's finished at 1014.
Cheers
