Hey,

Ive done a Thomas Coopers IPA kit, with 1kg. BrewEnhancer 1 and 500g of extra light DME.
I brewed it too 21 liters, and my OG was 1.048. I pitched a packet of s-04, at 25C, and the brew has been standing in a 18C room after that for two weeks now.

When I took my SG reading it was only at 1.020

Is this stuck fermentation?

Ive taken the fermenter up too another room wich holds 22C, to see if it will go further down after a week there.

I also have the original coopers yeast wich came with the kit. Could i throw that into the fermenter and help it get lower?

Cheers - Ray

after 2 weeks it should have dropped well below 1020.

I wouldn't panic though, give it a gentle swirl round and keep it at around 21-21C for a few days see if it will get itself going.
After that if nothing theres nothing wrong in adding a further yeast starter.

Thx for the reply :thumb:

Will let it sit then for some days and see if it gets active again, if not throw in some more yeast.

Thx again!

Give it a stir to rouse the yeast first, then let it sit for a few days and you should be back in the game.

Do I do this with a sanitized spoon, or just by picking up the fermenter and gently rock it? Ive done the last, but that only because i had too carry it up three stories.
