Strange bits in fermentation

Did a brew yesterday using the Theakstons Old Peculier from Graham Wheelers book and ended up with 25 litres and decided to split between a fermenting bucket and a demijohn and use different yeasts.

Fermenting bucket going fine but the demijohn has a huge amount of debris on the bottom prior to pitching yeast (Safale 05), which when agitated looks like bits of biscuit / bread crusts now floating on the surface. Decided to pitch yeast and seems to have started ok, but the bits on the surface remain, also some has dropped back to the bottom

Any thoughts as to what this is & remedies. Smells fine to me
 
I suspect these to be clumps of cold break, they resemble bread flake :sick: usually casued by using too much finings, don't worry about it :thumb: There's a few pics on the forum of it...will try and find one ;)
