Does anyone else have problems with heavy stouts blocking the copper hop filter? Mine was a right pain yesterday, never have problems with normal brews..... is it because of the flaked barley?

New hop filter design needed before next brew. :D

I had a tight mesh filter that was o.k for 5 gallons stout but 10 was too much, going back to the copper pipe with holes a larger SS mesh... :D

P.S
Maybe Aleman is trying to be the new Chris-X1 with his sarcastic comments.

I use the stainless steel mesh that covers a flexible tap conector witht he rubber removed and have had no probs with it.

I wont use it in the mash tun again though it crushed with the wieight of 8kg malt on top of it
nice and cheap to make amd you get 2 theaded barbs if you take them right apart or you could just keep one end and screw that into the back of the tap
