Stout fermentables

HI all. I have just picked up a wilkos dark velvet stout (following good reviews) and 500g of med dme, what other fermentables would you recommend?

500g dme / 500g sugar (some like brown sugar instead) and brewed to 21L will be cracking :thumb:

Cheers for that. as its a small kit 1.5kg how about 500g mde 500g brewing sugar and 500g demerara.
I may even consider treacle. Are there any fermentables that increase body aswell? not dme.

I think you will be fine with what you got.
or try adding another 1.5kg kit of the same and forget about the dme and sugar

Hi, you could could make an invert candy syrup out of 500g of ordinary sugar, I think there is a How To somewhere here. I have added this to a John Bull Best Bitter kit + 500g of medium spray malt.
