Where can I buy a stockpot to hold 7 gallons? What's that in litres? I want to brew 5 gallons of beer.

Hi welcome to the forum, 7 gallons is around 35L iirc there is a seller on ebay called nordic optical that most of the guys here use, i'll dig out a link and edit it in here :thumb:

edit & imperial gallons is 31.8 Litres here's the link to nordic optical http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/nordic-optical they do do a 50L usually although not listed at the moment, I believe that you can contact them direct and that they have more available than what they have listed.

Here is a thread that might be useful too : viewtopic.php?f=16&t=236

Hope that helps :thumb:

70L Stock Pot
Here's a guy selling what looks to be a nordic pot, actually i'm sure it's a nordic pot. There could be a deal to be got, the only problem is there is six days left on the auction  Contacting nordic directly can sometimes be a real pita but if you're gonna try you should put something like "order" in the subject line to get their attention ;)

I don't recommend these. pots from USA They look like the Nordic ones but the handles are very poorly made and attached, the lid is different from the photograph and, again, poorly made from China. The Nordic ones are stronger. I also got stung for VAT, customs duty and £8 "handling charge" on behalf of Parcel Force.

Another tip to get Nadine' attention is to use the word Payment in the subject . . . and using order and payment together works really well ;)

When you use the link to the UK ebay there is usually nothing there in my experience. I used the one above on the French ebay to get my 70L stockpot. Their apparently based in Germany but what the hell, had no problem with delivery asked if it was OK with them first. Used google translating tool but expect they understand english pretty well.

Although no detail of these on their website these guys stock a large range of stick pots. I grabbed a 35 litre stockpot from them the other day for 30 quid! One was over 90 litres!?

They may post them but ring them.

Best if you live in Bristol grab one from them at their store.

Maybe you own the store and could do us a good deal..

New listings are up on only the french ebay site. you can't view them on ebay.co.uk for some reason, even though they do ship to the UK for around 20 Euro.

70L stainless steel pots
33L stainless steel pots (can have a warpy base that pops up/down)
insulated thermos pots (for mash tuns!)

I believe Chinese and Indian cash and carry shops are very good, my nearest is Liverpool 35miles away.
I've read some are very nicely priced, but the quality is something you need to look at closely
