Having seen the precautions necessary in a distillery particularly with the explosive atmosphere risk and risks around toxic elements in the foreshots and feints... aside from the legal which is a big no... this isn't something I would touch with a long barge pole. This thread will almost certainly self destruct after reading ... as soon as admins notice.
Interesting you say this @DocAnna as my brother in law makes some very high quality whiskey of various types and flavours in his garage. He’s very skilled in these type of things though and probably has a whole load of expensive decent kit too.

(He lives in NZ where apparently it’s totally legal by the way)

I think it is time we called a halt on this thread as I have let it run but is now starting to discuss illegal activity even if not done by the poster

Apologies that this isn't directly relevant to the usage of this, but had noticed that most of the big home brew companies are promoting these Stills, as far as I'm aware, distilling is illegal (without a license) so curious why there's a push on these, unless I'm missing the obvious.
Back in the day shops sold AM CB radios legally even though it was illegal to use them in the UK without a licence, the shops are not breaking the law the customer is if he/she uses it without having a licence.

I agree we all know these kits are out there and it wouldn't take too much searching to find out how to use them so there isn't much point in keeping this open due to the forum rules.
