So another kit on the go as I'm still in the shared house I have no room for a full on brewery, I may be swearing here but once I sort out a decent paying job after being made redundant I may go for a grainfather as it has a small footprint and will let me brew properly again although nothing like making your own brewery any hooo .....

Have thrown a John Bull Irish stout in the fermenter nothing like the one I did 8 years ago which was a double John Bull stout and extra hops boiled up made to 23 litres came out about 13 - 14 % after leaving it in bottles for a year it was proper nice all smooth and snuck up on you hehehe.

Any way thing has been in for 24 hours and is quite happily doing its thing in the corner of my room.....

Several members have Grainfathers and rate them highly in fact i have never read a post where any said they wish they had not bothered and sold them on.

My coopers coffee stout is on day 25 in the FV and still happily plopping the airlock around once every 10 or so minutes

If you dont mind me asking...why so long in the FV? Shouldnt it be in bottles at this point? ( I have a Coopers kit on right now with some coffee in it and dont want to bottle it too early, if thats what I did last time. )

if its bubbling its still fermenting.no probs with infection as its a sterile envoiroment so why package it,it makes no sense.some beers cant be rushed and as its for xmas I really don't care if it sits there bubbling away for a week or two more.its cjurrently plopping at every 7 minutes,i suppose it coud be the coffee beans driving the co2,not sure.anyone?
