Dunno, not used M03 tbh! But read about it. It's one of those slightly risky yeasts that can work out really well. If you want it to get down to a lowish FG, go Wilko. If you like a sweeter fruitier beer, M03.

 what to use now

I've decided to go with the MO3 just see how it performs. I have read conflicting reports although most were negative.

I'll update in a week or so.

Never used the M03 but from what I've read it's a bit like Windsor, if so you need to treat it appropriatly, so good for low OG beers you want lots of body in like milds. Also supposed to give lots of nice estery flavours

Just checked on the latest brew using the T58 yeast im glad ive used a blow off tube, its going like a train :-|

Just checked mine. A good two inch of Krausen. Bubbling like a trooper. The race is on lol.

What was your start OG?

Mine was 1.068

TBH ive stopped taking OG gravity readings, im so lazy, and i prefer the surprise on how many bottles it takes to get drunk

Lol I've done this a lot. But as this is my first dark beer in a while I was intrigued.

I normally know mine are around 1.052 normally.

We will see who gets drunk the fastest. On the least. That or choose a light weight test subject.

Mine used to come out between 1056 ish to 1060 lost interest in taking readings, as the saying goes the proof is in the pudding lol

Some refining to do in my case, but I'm new to grain and yeasts on the beer front. I started making wine when I got hooked on this marvellous hobby.

But I used to help my grandfather when I was a kid. And he used to let me start the syphon. ;-)

Just interested as I've used work horse before and I bought this especially for the purpose. Wish I had researched a bit more. Mind as I write the the FV is playing a constant tune in the front room ;-)

Very strange fermentation, had a little peek and it now looks like a large pint of pepsi, no Krausen at all now just loads of bubbles, time to  i choose the right yeast

I find this happens when you ferment on the warm side. But you've got a brew fridge so it must be a characteristic of the strain

No MyQul i have just stored it in my basement its fermenting at 22c:confused: wish i had got the hang of putting pics on here it looks well weired, like the fizziest pint of pepsi you have ever seen

As I'm sure you know, C02 is a byproduct of the fermentation process. If the yeast is warm it's going to be chewing threw the wort sugars and cloning itself quicker than when it's cooler so kicking out C02 a lot quicker too -everything happens quicker. So it's looks like a massive glass of pepsi.

Yeah it sure does
