Ok so my Tooheys lager is at 1st fermentation & nearly ready for barreling. I used Coopers Malt extract instead of sugar this time. Tooheys website says the SG should be 1012 if using malt extract, but 1006 if using sugar.

Is this correct?.

That is certainly what it says on their website - final gravity if you brewed with a standard can of concentrate and malt extract should be 1012. Have you measured yours? What did you get?
