Cor this liquid yeast business is unpredictable stuff! But it's so rewarding when it happens right.

However, I made a 1ltr starter of my split WLP001 at around 6pm yesterday and it hasn't taken off like my others have in the past. I'm not sure what has/hasn't happened, but I've got another two vials of the same split batch to make another starter this evening if this one doesn't show signs of life.

Room temp is a steady 20C.

Has it been in the fridge a bit longer than previous batches?? Maybe it just needs another 12 hours to get its act together. I'm also on a learning curve with liquid yeasts.

Maybe a coupe of weeks longer. I've prepared another starter just in case. Worst case scenario I'll be brewing on two consecutive days. Oh no, how awful haha!!

Oh aye, plenty! It does seem to be going. I think I just have to remember that 001 is less obvious that 002 in terms of flocculation.
