Aren't Burton Unions just a series of linked blow-off tubes? If you need a blow-off tube, you haven't got enough headspace. Thus spoke an old brewer to me.
The 1 litre bottle I bought two years ago expires in 2021.Does StarSan have a shelf-life in its undiluted form?
Sort of, it's afaics a krausening orgy.Aren't Burton Unions just a series of linked blow-off tubes?
Five Star state 1 year but can last for 2, I expect there would be a method for storage, cool and away from light.Does StarSan have a shelf-life in its undiluted form?
Yes, it's basically a low foaming version of starsan. Afaik the recommended contact time is a bit longer and the dilution rate is different so read the label.Upon seeing this post I checked my stock and decided to purchase aa new bottle, but in my haste did not read the description properly from my search and I ended up with this Five Star Saniclean. Does anyone know if this is usable in place of StarSan?
I managed to get some through the malt Miller a couple weeks agoVery interesting post, it would seem the vast majority of you rate Star San very highly, as does the home brew book I'm reading. Unfortunately not looking so good on the Star San front for complete newbies to the brewing like myself as every online outlet I've tried so far has Star San either 'out of stock' or 'awaiting stock'
Does anyone know of an available supply?
