It is time for an educational video that looks at spunding valve options for pressure fermentation. The spunding valve is a key item in your set up that should not be overlooked.
Within this video I detail the two different types so that people can make an informed choice.
As usual, thank you for all your kind support and enthusiasm for my channel.
Please keep your questions, feedback and requests coming but please give me some time to answer, I get a lot of messages and answer them in the order they were sent in, particularly those on Facebook messenger tend to stack up! If you are comfortable then please ask questions within Youtube,Facebook groups or forums so that others can also either benefit or contribute.
For the fastest response then Youtube is best.
Happy brewing!

It’s a shame you didn’t manage to get hold of one of the v2 versions of the blowtie with integrated gauge, they look to be a much neater solution and it would be good to see an impartial review. The Spundit one is even better but is expensive once you add in importing costs.

Agree wholeheartedly about an impartial review, doesn't carry much credibility otherwise, and second the vote for the Spundit. I agree it is expensive but comparing other diaphragm valves with a 0-15 psi range it is cheap. It's just laughable expecting a 0-40 psi spunding valve to have any accuracy.

Yes but it is not released yet.

The Spundit is not available here. I will see if I can obtain it but the whole point was to separate the two different types.

The Spundit is available on eBay, the BlowTie from what I have read is not reliable at low pressures and leaks gas. I have used one of these and found it very good, the calibrations were not accurate but held pressure well, even low pressure.

They are about $2.50 US wholesale. Something to think about instead of carrying just the one type of spunding valve.

Ive not actually encountered any issues with the Blowtie at all, I believe that what you have read is probably just competitive politics. It is interesting that you know the wholesale price, rather revealing I would say :)

Some one on this forum tried the diaphragm valve as a PRV and found the same problem on low pressure. As I said before it is a physical impossibility to have a diaphragm valve be accurate over such a wide range.
I know the wholesale price of the CR25 because it was an item subject to a bulk buy.
I was also involved in a joint bulk buy on a brewing and hydroponic forum which targeted this little inline valve for the dual liquid or gas purpose 0,75 US cents off Alibaba.

You may recognise it, even though it is not in red and yellow with a handle adjustment instead of a screwdriver adjustment.

For someone who accused me of not being up front about who I am you really are doing a poor job of hiding who you really are. You really are clearly very anti one company and very pro another. Your last attempt really backfired on you as people here know I am up front and have nothing to hide. I suggest you either be upfront yourself or stop this obvious bias behaviour. I work for an independent but it is clear to anyone that you do not. You must realise by now that I already know who you are, I had my suspicions before but your recent antics made it impossible not to know!
In all my days in this business I have never seen behaviour quite like this I have to say!
I mean you no harm but you really need to stop all this silliness and just get back to focusing on what really matters.
Have a think about that please.

I can't say I have ever accused you of of not being up front about who you are, I also don't mind anyone putting a generous GM on products, I did it myself. I think you can continue to call your "review" videos just that, and I will continue to call them promotional review videos. And leave it at that.

In a recent thread you did exactly that, I suggest you stop watching Daves videos especially if you as you say you are going to refer to them as promotional as this is only going to cause more aggro, this forum has a reputation of being a friendly community (as stated in the search results) can we now let this drop as it does no one any favours.

Well, you actually did as the admin here points out.
I have to say that my review videos are very balanced by design. You will see more come this year that point out pros and cons as always. If you do not like my content then you are under no obligation to watch it. Plenty do and appreciate my approach but clearly nobody pleases all of the people all of the time.
The import thing as I see it is to keep things mature and friendly. I would be more than happy to agree to differ opinion wise.

I have no objections to your brewing videos, I wouldn't have an issue with you promoting what you are selling, we all do that, even in my business. But reviewing something that you are selling lacks credibility, you are hardly going to give a poor review of something you are selling now are you.

I only review things that I like and feel that I can recommend. If I do not like a product then I will not review it. I do this from a very wide amount of products from suppliers across the world. I report on the facts sharing the pros and cons. This should be clear to anyone watching. The vast majority of my videos are not reviews though as my channel is mostly about helping people brew better beer.
