I had an awesome time at the church end. Thanks to everyone involved it was a load of fun. I now know what a lot of you guys look like but there was no way I was remembering everyones names or who exactly you are on the forum. I did get a few pictures, when my brain cells have stopped cowering at the back of my head and are ready to be put to work, I'll try and get a few up.
Thanks again from Bee (wifey) and myself

Swazi - your a brave man taking a nice young lady to such an event, hope she enjoyed. In fact full marks to all the females that attended hope none were offended, there was a lot of industrial language around.

Thabks to everyone who organised this for a great weekend. Nice to meet more people face to face and to get to try a lot of peoples beers.

Would it be possible to take one of the group pictures and start sticking peoples usernames onto it so we can remind ourselves who was who....

perhaps we should have a rouges gallery for all members ?
I'm the spitting image of my avatar ;)

Edit: . . . At least I felt like an 900 year old dwarf and my skin colour was a delicate shade of green

He only did it to prove he's not the biggest beer geek around! (Have realised that uber geek smiley is eerily appropriate as my avatar :ugeek: )

TOP EVENT and congrats all round - brilliant to meet a load of people. Pics soon.

Still feeling fragile though! Planning on a week of no beer or meat...

Been pontificating on ways to build on it and make it even better for the future, - a massive fire pit seems a bit of a pipe dream though... My only small niggle was the sense of 'helicopter judges'. Bill from NCBA was a notable exception who did a great stint of sticking around, chatting and sharing ideas and insights but some other judges were rather swift out of the door (and away from the wall?)... Not perhaps a great way of recruiting the new blood that looks so badly needed based on the judges average age! Wonder if a league table with everyone ranking their 'top 3' in each category might work. Or adding an 'other brews' table where you specify your style and intention and it's an audience judgement based on that and their tastes...? (Or does this all sound suspiciously like AV?!?)

I know you are but I'm not an oil painting of a 70 yr old collier.

Reading these posts just makes me wish even more that I could have gone.
May is the run up to the school exams for my boys so there is no way I could take the time to go down for a weekend then. Obvously it's hardly just a pop down for a night or two. There's now way you will get a time to suit everyone.

Never know, we'll see for the next one

Sounds like a great event, so well done all. :thumb:
