Hello everyone,

Today I was eating a flapjack and thought to myself... Could I use a mixture of spent grains and oats to make tasty flapjacks? What do you all this, is this worth an experiment?

Left mine for a day and a half (called away for work). When I got back it smelled like 1000 foxes had hurled in my garage. Not nice.....

If you have a dog you can make dog treats out of spent grains, which is what I plan on doing for my friend's dog next time I have a brew day.

Just don't do it with grains that have had any hops added to them as hops can be toxic for dogs.

I tried to eat some spent grain with milk, like museli after my first AG brew. I ate a small bowl full. I didn't die, but it wasn't nice. VERY rough and not a great taste.

I sometimes add a cup of spent grain to a loaf of bread. Works well.

Thanks everyone, I think an old fashioned experiment, two controls, one with just oats and one with just spent grain, then do a 10/90, 20/80, 30/70 etc and taste them all.
