South Wales - Hello!

A quick hello, thanks for having what looks like an open and v.helpful forum.

Lots to learn and work back through as I get more into this game.

I've got about 4 years of kit brews behind me, not really taking things that seriously.... My best kit result was an Imperial Stout kit from lovebrewing... I went all in with the oak chunks, a loooong ferment and condition. It didn't taste like any imperial stout I've ever had but it still was pretty good.

I finally bought myself both a 100L pot, gas burner and a 35L urn to get into grain (I dare say there's possibility of 3 step all grain with a mash-tun, but one step at a time).

I've got 2 brews of BIAB done over the last month or so - Ive not yet tried the outcome. Enjoyed the longer and more complex brew days and keen to get into this further, and here I am.

Thanks the warm welcome all. Rod - it is indeed a 100L stockpot - the thing is huge. I'm only likley to be doing 23L brews for a while but it has plenty of headroom and hopefully if I nail a good recipie and technique that works i can up to brewing for 2 x fermentor batches.

Richard- i'll be sure to check that group out.. I live about 10mins drive from the Brewery and call in there fairly regularly

I never knew there was a homebrew club at TR. I am in Caerphilly and just getting back into brewing so that's interesting to know- thanks!
