We have had shed loads in congleton, much the same as vossy1 I would imagine.

No work for SWMBO, School shut so kids at home, no work for me till thurs morning, however if it carries on like this I'm staying under the duvet, no way I'm attempting a 100 mile round trip, it took me 1hr 1/2 to get from one side of the town to the other today.

However i AM NOT FAZED, COS THE FRIDGE IS FULL OF FOOD, i HAVE 3 1/2 FULL KEGS AND 5 FULL ONES SO, IT CAN SNOW FOR A FEW WEEKS MORE YET, AND i WILL BE QUITE HAPPY AS THE BEER HERMIT ON THE HILL!

Well, we had feck all here, just stupid ice, rain and more stupid ice and temps down to -10 at times. Today there was about 4 microns of snow, it slowed an ant down for a while but he soon got over it.
Would anyone like to post some snow over to me and I'll gladly return the same mass in ice.
;)

We have had none either not a snifter, even our ants have not been held up, binmen yes, ants no: wrong kind of cold they said.

A good 4" here.Won't even bother trying to get the car out.Mrs ll's school shut so no problem there. They don't bother with the gritter here so we can only get out on foot.We live on a hill and it is impossible to get out onto the main roads. :(
The last good snowfall we had before xmas was only about an inch deep and even then we were stuck for 3 days.Hate to think how long it will be this time.
Just came back from a walk,we have 3 shops and a hairdressers and only the newsagent/general store was open. The postman never bothered today either. We really are "the land that time forgot" after a bit of snow.Luckily the local pub was open though. :thumb: So things ain't all bad round here. :D
Took some photos just after midday when we got back.
This one from the front window.(just started again)

Them cats have a better live than I do. ;)
They didn't even last 5 mins outside.
Took some shifting tonight to get them away from the log fire before we went to bed. :thumb:

We have about a foot on the ground now.

As essex CC are running out of grit they have decided to not grit the only road in and out of our town, and yes its also a steep hill!!
Last night after sitting in traffic for over an hour i dumped the car and walked the last three miles!!

Unfortunatly i have not managed to get to work today, i have been out playing with my little girl and this afternoon will be drinking beer in front of the fire watchin telly... its really upsetting i couldnt make work!! ;)

Doubt i'll get out on Monday, we dont get payed if we get snowed in, but we do get payed full sick pay......think i'd better make a start on that 2 day hangover.. :drink:

I'm fed up watching snow now . . . I'd much rather watch some nice warm sea move backwards and forwards on a beautiful sandy beach covered with nubile young ladies

Brewing using fire outside in the snow is pretty good fun :D
