I bottled my first beer kit in several years today (well most of it-have to get more bottles tomorrow). I used to have a red clip that attatched to the side of the FV and held your siphon tube in place. Unfortunately, mine has gone AWOL and I ended up using a peg......which ended up in the brew! fortunately, I had the forethought to sterilise it! It is quite a trek to my LHBS and I don't really need to buy anything else (although i'm easily talked round). does anybody have any reliable homemade systems for a 25l bin that they would be willing to share?

thanks snail...that was the one I had. managed to find some perspex to drill a hole into for this weekend and to finish of bottling my 2nd FV. Hope to get to the HBS next week while hubby is at work. might even buy stuff for my first AG :)

Melly I have to agree with Dunfie getting a little bottler would be £5 well spent ive got one and to bottle a 40 pint brew takes no time at all now.

I used a little bottler for the first time this week, what a great bit of kit, absolutely get one!

think I might invest in a bottler when I next go to the HBS. Making do with a piece of perspex over the top of the FV for now, just to keep the tube upright. Thanks corby brewer for the offer....very kind of you but i've managed to bottle the rest. Was purely after a short term solution instead of a 45 mile round trip purely for a clip!
