I'd like to try and make something similar to this as an Extract but using 250g crystal malt and 3kg of liquid malt to a 23L brew expected FG of around 4%

-

7.2kg Pale Malt Maris Otter
0.45kg Crystal Malt

18.51g Magnum - 60 mins
11.57g Perle - 30 mins
69.43g Cascade - 10 mins

74.89g - Cascade - Aroma Steep

2 packets of Safale US-05

25 liter batch
55% efficiency

5.6% abv
15.6 EBC
36 IBUs

90 min mash / 60 min boil

Would I need to increase or decrease the amount of hops? , as I'm not sure how it works.

I've only done AG, never done extract. However I think you should be aiming for OG of 1.053 should end up at 5.4 % Otherwise sounds good. T

If you don't mind a short trip into Cheltenham, Pops Homebrew do an Extract kit that is very close to Sierra Nevada - Foresters Golden Citrus Blast :-) If you already have the liquid malt extract you might be able to convince him to just sell you the 2 bags of hops.

Well, if you don't want it that strong, use less malt. Probably around 3.3kg of liquid malt or 2.5kg of dried should get you somewhere around the 4% mark for a 23L brew.

As your wort will be thinner (i.e. less sugar) then you'll need slightly less bittering hops (a thinner wort extracts more bitterness), so I would reduce them by about 10-15%, so maybe 16g of Magnum, 10g of Perle and 60g of the 10min Cascade.

Keep the aroma Cascade hops the same as the thinner wort shouldn't affect the aroma extraction.

Also, for a 23L brew of that strength, you can get away with a single packet of US05 yeast.

But bear in mind that whilst it will be a nice tasty brew, it won't taste completely like SNPA at that lower strength.

No worries

Also, I forgot to mention that those hop levels are assuming a full boil length - if you were planning on boiling a smaller amount and then liquoring back with cold water in the FV, you'd need more bittering hops as the wort would be thicker.
