The garage is at a steady +3*C so I'm happy to leave the bottles and kegs of beer on the shelves; but I've cranked the small storage heater up to full whack because the snow is now "crunchy" underfoot, which a sure sign that it has started to freeze out there!

ahem... depends what abv you have  maybe start with the lower abv ones! I reckon i'm good to -8

Good point. I got the figure from an American source and had to convert from fahrenheit. I'd previously thought that -5C was the figure.

Still snow coming down here but the main difference from yesterday seems to be the wind, it feels properly cold outsie now. The roads are in decent condition though, as evidenced by yesterday’s careful and considerate morning rush hour being back to the normal dog eat dog idiocy

My office is below the HSE temperature guidelines so everyone else apart from me and the head of Financial Reporting has gone home. I have a meeting at 1:30 then home. Blizzard has just (re)started.

We'd not had much until this afternoon, but it's been coming down steadily now for a few hours.

This is my dad’s house in Somerset. That stone ledge running round the house hat you can just see to be bottom left of the picture is 3 feet

hypothetically speaking, if some of my 2L PET bottles that are conditioning froze over in the shed, would there be any detrimental effects?
