Centennial single hopped IPA @ 7%. This has come on really well.

My original Boddingtons clone that went wrong - lovely and clear though after 2 weeks in the bottle. Tastes nothing like and very dry from making up the OG with sugar

Early preview of my Youngs Special clone. a week in the PB and it's lovely and bright with no discernible off flavours. First brew with temperature control.

Trying this for the first time. It needs another week conditioning, but I'm impatient! It's an apricot wheat beer. 10 litre batch: Pilsner malt and wheat malt in the grist, nugget hops for 60 mins, wb06 yeast, added about 1kg of tinned apricots for the last 5 days of fermentation.

It's turned out really well. Hazy, well carbonated with big white head. Bubble gym and banana aromas. The aromas carry on into the flavours, with a little sharpness from the apricots.

That is the kind of head that I am trying for. Hopefully one day I will be able to get there.

For a while now I've been stirring the hot break back in rather than removing it pre-boil. Then chilling with immersion chiller and proper conditioning. Have had a decent head on every beer since

That is the drink that I had last night, my Mr Beer Northwest Pale Ale. Ithe has been in the bottle now for just over two months and last night was the first time I enjoyed the drink. The head was nice, the taste was good and very smooth going down. Still a bit dark, but not a million miles away from the mainstream ales you get. So many times these days I am finding myself saying that the longer I can give a beer either in the FV or the bottle, the better it turns out.

My first ever (and so far only!) all grain brew, a Saison from a "kit" (all of the grain, hops and yeast together, with a recipe/brew sheet).

My attempt at a something in the Tripel style packaged up after 3 weeks in primary with the help of willing Fathers day volunteers. Now the real wait begins.
