I am looking at my first AG but since it will be just me drinking it and for logistics and storage space reasons it will be a short length and will be going in a full size top tap king keg .

Now , I have had a cap put on my spending and have got to manage with what I have so the obvious answer of some smaller sized polypins is out . I have two of the kingers and two ex cider barrels with S30 lids , all 25L . Since I will be drinking this alone I will be making , say , 12L brews . I have all available space already taken up with bottles conditioning already but could just squeeze a barrel in....just . I enjoy the brewing process itself so would get antsy if I was to only do it every couple of months - I dont drink a lot as I often have to drive as I live in a rural area so dont get through my beer that quickly . 20 odd pints would probably last me 3 or 4 weeks .

Will a half filled pressure barrel keep the brew in safety while it conditions , given that I have CO2 in a sodastream and a H Bard cylinder to hand with adaptors ? I cannot see any reason why NOT but I like to get advice.....anyone ?
