Totally off topic , can i tell a revolting tale of sewage poisoning? How i got it and what happened?

I think Cheshire cat was refering to Tories themselves,Rather than members of the public seduced into voting for them.

But I agree with you It does need to be kept civil.

The RW here wants zero government regulations yet would destroy everything in sight to make some money now if that were the case. There's a lot of pretending/denial that pollution and anything else related to it doesn't exist just to hide their evil intent. There's a lot of backward thinking that "privatization" is the answer to everything--it isn't and is just cover for unethical individuals to make money hand over fist to the detriment of the public. These RWers have no problem screwing over their own.
If humans weren't so messed up, didn't need to be babysat and would act on what's best for all, we wouldn't need regulations from the government.
My wife has a cousin who works for the military and he tried to push a design for double-walled oil vessels as a safety measure. The idea got shot down because it's not profitable.
Same goes with infrastructure here: The RW wants to avoid it or privatize it depending on whether money can be made or avoided being spent. So in the burbs around here, thousands of houses were flooded over the summer and cost millions or billions anyway.

Crisis what Crisis!
On 22 January 1979, one and a half million workers were on strike - the highest number since the 1926 General Strike. Iconic images in the media of the industrial unrest that swept Britain in an Arctic winter captured mountains of uncollected rubbish in London's theatre land; militant shop stewards turning patients away from hospitals and a national strike by road hauliers that threatened to bring the country to a standstill. Even corpses were left unburied. Within weeks the beleaguered Callaghan government fell from power by a single vote. In the 1979 general election, Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister, beginning eighteen years of unbroken Conservative rule.

The foreword for the book of the same title.
I think the 18 year record will be broken if the best to be pulled out of the labour hat are the likes of Starmer, Rayner and Thornberry etc.

Well nationalisation is by far the worse of the two choices.

.
Because its a small world, very similar to you and others making many comments about American politics.
Society is never going to change, anyone who thinks it is is a dreamer. There is always going to be upper echelons and lower echelons, been like that since we were in the trees. It isn't who you vote for that is going to change ones life it is what you do to change it for yourself.
