So many people with their blinkers on. This country is fcuked!
Anybody telling me I'm right will get a improving poke on the conk. I've never been right in my life. Always voted Labour. You may well be right Brewski,And by all accounts not far from right.
I had wonderfull hopes for this nation as a teenager back in the 70s.
The only ones with blinkers on are those who think labour could do better. So many people with their blinkers on. This country is fcuked!
Well nationalisation is by far the worse of the two choices. The RW here wants zero government regulations yet would destroy everything in sight to make some money now if that were the case. There's a lot of pretending/denial that pollution and anything else related to it doesn't exist just to hide their evil intent. There's a lot of backward thinking that "privatization" is the answer to everything--it isn't and is just cover for unethical individuals to make money hand over fist to the detriment of the public. These RWers have no problem screwing over their own.
If humans weren't so messed up, didn't need to be babysat and would act on what's best for all, we wouldn't need regulations from the government.
My wife has a cousin who works for the military and he tried to push a design for double-walled oil vessels as a safety measure. The idea got shot down because it's not profitable.
Same goes with infrastructure here: The RW wants to avoid it or privatize it depending on whether money can be made or avoided being spent. So in the burbs around here, thousands of houses were flooded over the summer and cost millions or billions anyway.

Society is never going to change, anyone who thinks it is is a dreamer. There is always going to be upper echelons and lower echelons, been like that since we were in the trees. It isn't who you vote for that is going to change ones life it is what you do to change it for yourself.
Very constructive.Sewage
