Hi,
I am going to request some new glasses for my birthday.
Has anyone got opinions on what the best glasses are to serve homebrew? Does shape make much difference? Traditional pint or the fluted stye pint glasses?
Are some better for head retention than others?
Look forward to some advice on what to buy..!
Andy

HI

Depends on what i'm drinking but mostly like to drink 330 glasses for largers, kolsch and pint tankarks for ale/bitter.

This website cover nearly all of them. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/101/glassware

I remember there used to bar in bristol callled Belgo's, sold hundreds of beers and all had their specific glasses. Pitty it closed

I realise you are probably after something a bit special but for me it has to be the tulip style pint glass - £2 for 6 at asda at the moment.

I also liked the style on THBF glass but unfortunately I broke mine while it was full of Aleman's beer (a double tragedy).

Cheers. Loads of info there. Will be good to replace my old scratched pint glasses which were liberated from the student union bar over a decade ago with some decent glassware!
