So I've got a 4-day long weekend, I've got a boat I'd like to go out and use, but I've got teenagers who aren't bothered or have other plans and I've got a wife who thinks exterior window frames etc. need painting.

I've also got 10.8kg Golden Promise plus oddments of crystal and cara.

Wot d'ya reckon, 10 gallon brew?

Cascade, Centennial and maybe a few Citra?

Split fermentation with 2 or 3 different types of yeasties?

Its given crap weather, so that rules the boat and the windows out, can't think what else you could do

Get the teenagers to do the painting.
14yo daughter is sleeping over at a friend's house.

18yo teetotal son has just come back from the pub with his mates, officially his last day of school (apart from going back in for exams), absolutely bladdered and talking about double vodkas and Jäger bombs.

Sent him to bed with a large glass of water and a bucket.

I really don't see any painting getting done this weekend.

You sound stressed Ade....... As a Doctor I would prescribe a long chug up a canal on a narrow boat while quaffing home crafted ale's and wines. :thumb:

We'll see.

Daughter's out.
Son's out for the count.
Wife's got an eye test booked tomorrow afternoon.

I still hope we may be able to get away late afternoon.

In the meantime, the tun and boiler are out and ready.

I'm not sharing the double with you but there are still 2 singles.

Plenty of booze onboard (if you know where it's hidden), you can steer and I'll work the locks.

Eric's welcome too.
