I have just been given 3 ball valves with a few bits from a lad I know ;)

they are stamped as 3/8 I hope this is big enough

I now have 3 fermenting buckets ready to be converted
just can't decide what to do
biggest bucket is a 30lt which I was going to make into my boiler/HLT and from this thread

viewtopic.php?f=30&t=7513&p=80025&hilit=nano+brew#p80025

was going to use the two smaller buckets to make my mash tun

or I may invest £7 in an Asda cooler box and use one of the small buckets as a HLT
would mean 4 kettles rather than 2 but may be able to scrounge the other bits like copper pipe and fitting as I know several plumbers and electricions

from your experience which would be the best way to go :wha:

Cheers
Max

I have a 33ltr fermenter that I made into a boiler and then a 25ltr fermenter that I made into a mash tun, If I was you I would do the same and then make the third into a HLT.

The insulation for the mash tun is stuff called radflect, you will get it in most DIY/Garden places. I payed €10 for a 3m roll, just wrap it around the bucket, cover the top and bottom, seal it all with duct tape and your ready to go.
