Sasparilla

Isolation's post just reminded me of a drink i used to have as a child and that is Saspirilla, would anyone here know how to make it?

I did try to find out once before some years ago, but had no success, so any information would be really welcome.

I remember Saspirilla you can still get it online but would have no idea how to make it

Found this recipie
* Approximately 2 oz Sarsaparilla
* Approximately 2 oz Sassafras
* Approximately ½ oz licorice
* 2 oz Wintergreen leaves
* 2 ½ pounds sugar
* 2 gallons water.

recomends to boils all ingredients for 30 mins strain and bottle could be made into alcohol by adding yeast after boiling and cooling :hmm:

Not sure how to make it but Mawsons still make it http://www.mawsonstraditionaldrinks.co.uk and if your t'north Booths supermarkets sell it (along with a wide range of beers from local brewerys :drink: )
