With all the different bottling techniques - i've not actually read anywhere doing what I'm tempted to do to save some time on bottling day.

Sanitise all bottles and caps - PET bottles.
Stick caps on bottles and leave well alone.

Come to bottle - open cap, stick beer in and reseal.

I assume there are major issues with this based on people not doing it? :)

I clean all the gunk out with hot water, rinse then put in a pre heated oven for 10 mins to sanatise - which also dries em off :thumb:

Great idea with PET Bottles :thumb: :thumb:

I do what you are suggesting all the time, but using glass bottles.

I clean the bottles out after I empty them of beer . . . then spray with star san, and cap with one of the plastic reseals, Shake and put away ready to use when I next bottle.

Every three re uses I clean the bottles with a short soak in oxi cleaner, rise and spray with star san.

I wash the bottles out in hot soapy water and then rinse as i use them and just store them in a clean box until needed.

Then on bottling day I soak them in VWP, rinse them and sit them upside down on a sanitised draining board. Same for the lids.

when there is a few done and drained I put them upright with cling flim over necks, until used.

I fill a few up at a time and then seal them :thumb:

That's what I do. I do the same for glass bottles, but have reusable plastic press on caps to seal them with.

I wash out three times after finishing the beer, then starsan and store. I don't cover them with any caps or anything, then on bottling day I re-starsan, drain and bottle. No problem yet

wash out thoroughly your bottles then spray with star san[

dont fear the foam

then into the bottling tree

then after spraying the capper with star san put the caps on which are soaking in star san

A friend of mine has been brewing for years and years and never had an infected beer and so I am going to take his advice, fill the bottles with normal tap water 24 hours before bottling and leave them. There is enough chlorine in the water to do the job.

Depends on your water... some is a lot more chlorinated than others... lets hope you have the same water supplier as your friend :thumb:
